CEIP: Important information on data consistency

1. Section „Emissions as reported by Parties“ presents all submitted and resubmitted emission data as provided by Parties to UNECE (including possible gaps and/or data of low quality).

2. Section “Emissions used in EMEP models” presents gap-filled and gridded data and is based on a combination of official reported data supplemented with expert estimates for missing data and/or for data of low quality. Usually annual gridding is done only for the actual reporting year (e.g. for 2008 in 2010). Besides gridding for 2008 CEIP updated historical emission data used in EMEP models in 2010 for the years 2000 to 2007. For this all resubmissions submitted by Parties up to 2010 have been taken into account.
